29 Sep-1 Oct 2014 Grenoble (France)

Presentation:

This three-day workshop will provide an opportunity to discuss various aspects of the thermodynamics of out of equilibrium quantum systems, both in its energy and informational aspects. The spectrum of this workshop is deliberately very broad: it will bring together experimentalists and theorists with various backgrounds (e.g. non-equilibrium statistical physics, circuit QED, opto-mechanics, quantum information and quantum optics). This variety of viewpoints will provide an overview of the various approaches to address these questions. The workshop will consist in invited tutorials designed to learn about the various fields involved, and research talks presenting recent developments (by invitations only). Brief presentations will complement the program to indicate promising research tracks.

The program will encourage informal discussions among the participants to find a common language and to foster the emergence of new collaborations.
